Blog Assignment # 15 : Today I will be talking about Claud Monet.  Claud Monet was born on November 14,1840 in Paris, France.  A few years later he moved to the Normandie where his father owned a marine trade supply store.  As a child Claud Monet spent most of his time in Le Havre drawing things.  Claud Monets drawings often got him in a bunch of trouble at school,also, he often did not listen to the rules.
                                    By the time Claud Monet was fifteen he was selling caricatures for as much as 20 francs.  That did not please his parents who were well off from their prosperous business.  Claud Monet continued drawing and was not interested in painting until he met Eugene Boudin the man who would become his mentor.  His mentor encouraged him to go out and paint nature scenes. Louis Monet, Claud Monet's father died shortly following his sons very first showing.
                                 His aunt soon took over the care and support of the gifted teen, who was showing true talent as a painter. As Claud Monet got older he went to study the prestigious Ecol des Beaux-Art.  He rejected the schools traditional attitudes towards art and went on to study Academie Suisse. Following a short stint in the military , He returned back to Le Havre where he met an arnamed  Johan Barthold Jongking.  He died on December 5, 1926 at the age of 86.

       
  





                  
                                 

Blog Assignment # 14

       Blog Assignment # 14:   George Muller was an evangelist and has gone in history as ne of the most famous prayers.  George Muller was a christian man who opened an orphanage after God put it in him to open one.  When George wanted to open the orphanage, he only had a few cents in his pockets.  After he prayed to god to give him money to open the place, he started getting millions and millions of dollars.  He is important in history because, he prayed to God for everything he needed and when he prayed, he got it.

                    Also he is famous in history because he would only ask God for things he needed and he refused to ask people for money or food and even clothes.  Other things I found about George Muller was that as a kid he used to steal from his father and with the money that his father did give him, he would get toys and things that he would get in trouble about. He would lie and tell his father what he bought with the money.

 Blog Assignment # 9:    I would like to write about some famous movie and television stars.  The first star is Bugs Bunny.  According http://www.worldbookonline.com/pl/forkids/Bugs Bunny was a famous animated rabbit. He was created by the Warnor Brothers Studio in the 1930's. Bugs Bunny talks with a Brooklyn accent. No matter what dangers Bugs Bunny faced, he was often shown eating a carrot.  Bugs Bunny is also known for his greeting "Whats up doc?". Bugs Bunny was also known for fighting with other characters such as Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, and even Daffy Duck. Bugs Bunny was developed in 1936 by a group of artists at Warnor Brothers Studio. The voice of Bugs Bunny was Mel Blanc.
                                      Next, I would like to write about another famous character, Donald Duck.  Donald Duck was created by Walt Disney. According to http://www.worldbookonline.com/pl/forkids/ Donald Duck first made his apperance on a show called The Wise Little Hen.  By 1937 Donald Duck was starring in his own cartoon.  Donald Duck appeared in about 125 cartoons from the 1930's to the 1950's.  He also appeared in a comic strip in 1936 and a monthly comic book beginning in 1943. The cartoons and comics also included Donald Ducks girlfriend ,Daisy Duck, the comics also included his nephews Huey, Dewey, and louie and they also included Donald Ducks stingy uncle, Scrooge McDuck.  Donald appeared in four Disney motion pictures during the 1940's, Saludos Amigos (1943), The Three Caballeros (1945), Fun and Fancy Free (1947) and Melody Time (1948).
                                      The third famous person I would like to talk about is Mickey Mouse.  According to http://www.worldbookonline.com/pl/forkids/ Mickey Mouse is one of the most famous cartoon characters in history.  The American movie producer Walt Disney introduced Mickey in several short films in 1928.  By the 1930's Mickey was famous in the United States and other countries.  Mickey first appeared on Screen on November 18.1928 in Steamboat Willie. Walt Disney himself provided Mickeys high-pitched voice.  Mickey Mouse starred in 118 cartoons through 1953.  Other characters in the Mickey Mouse cartoons included his girlfriend, Minnie Mouse and  his pet dog Pluto.  Mickey Mouse also starred in a popular children's television show called "The Mickey Mouse Club House" from 1955 to 1959.  Two later versions of the show ran in 1977 and 1978 and from 1989 to 1995.
                                         The last star I would like to talk about is Superman.  According to http://www.worldbookonline.com/pl/forkids/  Superman is a famous comic book superhero who fights crime with the aid of amazing powers.  Some of these powers are X-ray vision, incredible strength, and the ability to fly. The character was created by Jerry Siegel and artist, Joe Shuster in 1933. Superman first appeared in an action comic book in 1938. Superman was born on Planet Krypton.  When he was a baby he was sent to earth in a rocket ship. An american couple with the last name of Kent adopted Superman and named him Clark.  He got a day job as a news paper sales man.  When he was needed to fight crime he would secretly change into into his Superman costume: a blue bodysuit, red trunks, and a red cape.  Superman's popularity led to a Superman comic strip, radio serial, and several television series and motion pictures.

Blog Assignment # 13: Africa Storytelling

              The first video I decided to write about is how the people in Africa make milk.  As I was watching the video I saw how the mother took the cow and milked it.  The next thing I noticed was how she took the butter that was on top of the milk and separated it from the milk.  I also saw how they stirred the milk and made it into a liquid. The most interesting part of the video was how they said to give the milk a good taste add sugar.  I thought that was interesting because I have never heard of putting sugar in milk.

            The second video is early morning work in Africa.  After watching the video about early morning work, I an impressed.  They have to get up early in the morning. They have to bend over and sweep with a tiny broom which could make your back hurt.  Next, the dirt that they sweep up they have to dump it on the trees.  Next step to early morning cleaning is to go get water. After they sweep the ground outside they have to go to the whale and get fresh water for their family.  They have to take a very ling walk to the whale, and then they have to tie a rope to a bucket and then stick the bucket down in the ling whole.  This is a difficult one because they have to stick the rope down in the whole and if the rope drops then they have to go all the way back home and get a new bucket.  Then if that happens they have to walk all the way back home again except this time carrying big buckets of water.

            Third is prayer for the Muslims in Africa. In Africa they have Muslims called the Senegal Muslims. These Muslims have a tradition that they do before they start to prey.  They have to sweep the floor. Next they have to set a blanket out and make sure it’s nice and neat.  The next step is to Prey.  When these Muslims prey that don't talk.  When they prey it is like they are standing on their head, touch their toes and jump up and down and they do random things. That’s how they pray.

   Blog Assignment #12: Mary Antoinette was the the youngest daughter of  the emporor and empress of The Holy Empire.  She is important in history becasue,she was dating the king of france,Prince Louis XVI.  She was raised up believeing that she had to become the Queen of France.  Once Prince Louis became king Lewis they got married.In 1789 a mob descended in the palace of Versailles and demanded that the royal family move to Tuilerie palace inside Paris and from that point on th king and queen were virtual prisoners. 

                         After she had failed to flee Paris, Mary Antoinette continued to seek aid from abroad.When Australia and Prussia declaired war on France, she was accused of  passing military secret sto the enemy.  On August 10,1792 the royal family was arrested on suspicion of treason and imprisones.  On January 21 King Louis XVI was convicted and exicuted.  Marie Antoinette was cruely treated on her last days to live.  Marie Antoinette was killed by getting her head chopped off.
                      To me this could be the worst way to die and I feel sorry for her and her husband. Also I am happy I am not in their possition.  I think that she is brave for at least trying to run away.  I believe she was a strong woman.  Many people should respect her.

            Places I Have Traveled:   I have traveled to many places but I will take up your whole day so I am only gonna tell you about two, which are New York and San Antonio.  First, is New York. I went with my family to New York and we saw lots of  things there.  One thing we saw were Malls, lots and lots of malls. While we were down there we decided we wanted to see the color purple on Broadway, so we did, and it was wonderful. The people,the food and the city of New York was awsome and creative,and i really loved it.
                The second place I traveled to was San Antonio.  The first time i want to San Antonio, I went with my camp and my mother.My mother and I loved it so much that we decided to go back, except this time we would bring the whole family.We went to the Alamo and that helped me learn a little bit more of history.It also helped me to learn more about San Antonio.Other things i liked in san antoino was  the food and the stores.We even got to ride on a boat all around san antonio, that was really fun.
               The people i look up to are my mother and my grandmother.I look up to my grandmother because she is a godly woman. One time I remember she stayed at my house and she came in my room and she prayed the whole night.I dont think I want to prey the whole night like she did but I really respect her and love her for that.Also because any chance she gets she goes to church and if thats not a really committed woman then i dont know what one is.
           Next is my mother.I look uo to my mother because she is also a godly woman.Also,because she is really smart and she has a good job.Another reason is because anychance she gets she gets something for her children, and i think that is really generous.My mother loves to travel.She is the one who alwayse gets us to go on the fun vacations.Also whan my mother is going through something or helping her children to go through something,she does not worry but she just preys and tells us that everything is going to be ok.
